Using ArchiveMind

Once a repository has been indexed, these pages cover the day-to-day features:

  • Search — full-text search across names, metadata, and extracted text, ranked by relevance.
  • Browse — explore the catalogue without a search query.
  • File details — everything ArchiveMind knows about a single file, and jumping to the real file on disk.
  • Duplicates — find identical files across folders and drives.
  • Visual search — find photos by describing them.
  • People — group photos by the person in them (consent-gated, on-device face recognition).
  • Audio and video — waveforms, spectrograms, frame thumbnails, and playback.
  • Disconnected drives — how the catalogue stays useful when a drive is unplugged.
